Lebeche (from Arabic lebeg) is a south-westerly wind affecting the Spanish Mediterranean coast, especially from Almería to Valencia. It brings warm, moist air of African or maritime origin, producing muggy conditions, hazy skies, and convective precipitation.

In the Mediterranean wind rose

It is part of the classic Mediterranean wind rose alongside tramontana (N), gregal (NE), levante (E), xaloc (SE), lebeche (SW), poniente (W), and mistral (NW). It can generate considerable swell (2–4 m) along the southern Mediterranean coast.
